Notes from January 2009's pictures:
- "Hey Kid, is that a smiley face on your belly button?"
- Sarah has a thing for drawing faces on her belly because she can or something. I suppose it's a form of self expression.
- In the middle of January we had a visit from Liam, Jen & Dave! Sarah had a great day with Liam eating all kinds of stuff and playing together. They really do get along well together.
- At the end of the month Sarah spent a few days with some nasty little bug that wiped her out. Sarah spent a day or two napping on the couch with her cat Homer while she recovered.

Notes from February 2009's pictures:
- Thankfully in February Sarah got the snowstorm she had been waiting for! It was more than enough snow to close schools and make for some shoveling. Too bad it really didn't stick around long enough to make a snowman.
- On Valentine's Day Sarah and Daddy took a trip down to Jenkinson's in Pt. Pleasant. We played some games, ate some ice cream and had a fun day. Sarah still has a tough time getting the ball to jump up off the ramp in Skee Ball but she sure is persistent and she gets insulted if you try and get her to play the kiddie version. Now that she can finally reach the pedals on the racing games she does a fairly good job driving SpongeBob down the track.

Notes from March 2009's pictures:
- We had to wait until March 2nd, but we finally got a real snowstorm to play in and build a snowman!
- After her success on the Wii Sarah wanted give bowling a try and after some trial and error figured out how to roll the ball all the way down the lane.
- We had an early spring trip down the Seaside Heights where we met up with Tyler & Uncle John for some caramel coffee and cheesesteaks! (Not at the same time, Dunkin Donuts 1st, then Midway Steakhouse for dinner.)
- Lastly Sarah prettied up for baby Addison's christening. She's the daughter of our friends Karen & Nick.

Notes from April 2009's pictures:
- I was taking some test pictures with a new flash for my camera, a Canon Speedlite 430EX II and I got some interesting "looks" from Sarah in the process. I wasn't planning on keeping the pictures but Sarah made for an interesting subject. She loves when I say stuff like, "Just a few more, I want to bounce the flash off the wall now..."
- Sarah baked a cake for Papa's birthday and she ate more than her share!
- The weather started warming up in April so of course we went to the park, more than one for that matter. She went to her favorite local park and even took a trip out to Dorbrook Recreation Area where they have a huge playground. (It's also one of Sarah's favorite summertime places because they have a sprayground!)

Notes from May 2009's pictures:
- A couple of pictures of Sarah riding a carousel down in Seaside Heights, such a ham!
- Sarah has been taking Karate at Full Circle DoJang for almost a year now! She started as a kid who couldn't stand on one foot and she has learned so much. Here she is earning another stripe on her belt.
- On a beautiful spring day Gramma and Papa came over so Sarah could argue with Papa over rules to every game she could think of.
- In her preschool class Sarah was part of a Grease show, lots of head nodding and lipsyncing.
- Lastly some Ocean & beach pics from a recent bike ride.

Notes from June 2009's pictures:
- Here is Sarah unknowingly doing a Silence Of The Lambs impersonation, she is going to be so horrified when she grows up and learns where the things we made her do come from.
- I took a picture of Gizmo, the wonder cat, and Carly, the wonder dog, because Sarah made me.

Notes from July 2009's pictures:
- Sarah wore her red, white & blue Hello Kitty shirt for the 4th of July! (To go to lunch with Uncle John & Tyler at Outback, not see fireworks, maybe next year!)
- On Mommy's birthday we took a trip down to the Camden Aquarium for a day of nautical mayhem. Sarah completely lost her mind the moment we got inside and saw the 1st fish swimming around. There was everything from piranhas to penguins to see. They even have real live hippos, in New Jersey! We even saw a 3D Spongebob movie! Does it get any better, honestly?
- Then we took a trip over the bridge into Philly for some more shenanigans at Dave & Buster's. 3 words: Bananas... Foster... Pie. We earned enough points for Sarah to go home with a stuffed animal that we easily paid for 4 times over. It was all Mommy could have wanted for her birthday.
- I also managed to get in some pictures of the Battleship New Jersey, moored near the aquarium.

Notes from August 2009's pictures:
- Sarah's 5th birthday was this month and she opted for a small party with Mommy, Daddy, Gramma & Papa.
- A trip out to the sprayground is a great way to beat the heat!
- Sarah also took her new bike out for spin while we were at Dorbrook park.
