Meet The Family

20130127_124238Sarah is our 6 1/2 year old girl who loves Spongebob Squarepants, Legos and really enjoys taking Tae Kwon Do at Full Circle DoJang. She adores her cat Homer and her puppy Carly. She is just a sweet and kind hearted little girl who is just what you would expect a 4 year old to be.

Sarah is a caring and compassionate little , traits she gets from her Mommy. Sarah is also incredibly inquisitive and wants to know how anything and everything works from helping take apart and fix a computer to wanting to open up her toys to see what makes them tick; just like her .

Mommy (Dana)!

2011-04-16 (009)Dana has been a wonderful mommy to Sarah from the moment she found out she was pregnant. She has taken the role of motherhood in stride and makes every day fun and exciting for Sarah. It’s in the little things she does, like reading Sarah a bedtime story or carefully brushing and braiding her hair that I can see the unique bond between mother and daughter. It’s amazing how fast time passes when you have a child but sometimes you need to slow life down just a bit to admire those precious moments.

In addition to her full time job as Mother, Dana is also a well established & nationally certified massage therapist. She has developed quite a following, so she must be doing something right! You can find out all about her professional career over on her website: MassageTherapyByDana.com.

Daddy (Pat)

Hey kid, you’re getting too heavy for this!

Last, but not least is Sarah’s Daddy. As you can see from this website I have turned a hobby-like interest in web design and run with it. I orignally loved the idea of being able to throw pictures online of Sarah the day she was born and it just grew from there. It has lead to me to create websites for some businesses and organizations such as Powerslidemotorsports, the Asbury Park Education Association and the above mentioned Massage Therapy By Dana. For more information you can check out my web design page ESP Web Creations. As of this writing that last site is in need of some serious updating; the web stuff is not a full time gig, so it waits.

Beyond fulfilling the role of Daddy and part, part time web designer my day job finds me as an elementary school teacher at Thurgood Marshall Elementary School in Asbury Park, NJ. It’s a tough job with so much riding on your shoulders but the rewards can exceed the efforts. I have been teaching for 11 years and even with the challenges I wouldn’t change it for the world.

You’re still reading this? Wow… After the Daddy and school teacher thing I have my old dirty habit video games to keep me occupied. We are talking back from the days of the Atari 2600 and CoLeCoVision through many Nintendo (NES, GameBoy, SNES, N64 & GameCube) and Sega (Master System, Genesis, Sega CD, 32X & Dreamcast) machines.

Nowadays I take my games at a much leisurely pace, with Sarah and I playing happy and fun games on our Nintendo Wii. I still try my hand at the latest Madden on the XBox360 and try to play more mature games too. (It’s hard to get in too much GTAIV time with a 1st grader around) Sometimes I play online as there is a humiliating joy in getting P0WN3D by 13 year olds as they curse at you like sailors. Oddly enough, with all this new tech I end up playing a 10+ year old Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 (1995?) on XBox Live most of the time. It’s one of the few games where I can hold my own online.
